Client: Askham Bryan Wildlife and Conservation Park
At Askham Bryan Wildlife & Conservation Park, Aquatect installed two immersive zoo enclosures. The first, themed around a concrete-sculpted strangler fig, stands at 2.5 meters tall, housing Blue poison dart frogs (Dendrobates tinctorius azureus) and Graham’s anoles (Anolis grahami). The lush habitat is filled with bromeliads and illuminated by Arcadia Thermal Zoo Pro lamps and UVB T5s. Dimmable LEDs replicate natural light cycles, adhering to modern zoo standards.
The second enclosure, nearly 3 meters tall, recreates a South American jungle for a Yellow-tailed cribo (Drymarchon corais). Monstera and epiphytic ferns enrich the arboreal design. Infrared heat emitters, UV, misting systems, and hidden access ensure both animal comfort and keeper safety. These enclosures combine natural aesthetics with cutting-edge functionality, offering a stunning, compliant home for these species.
